Yes, I know, this is everyone's favorite thread to read. However, it is necessary and I require that you please read it's entirety and sign before posting anywhere on the site!
Breaking any of these rules will result in a PM warning. If it continues then the individual will be banned for a period of time, the duration of which will be determined by the severity of the offense.
(Site Rules)
1. No spamming: Please post responsibly and refrain from only offering 2 or 3 words at a time, as well as making sure to keep from double posting. Also, don't continuously repeat the same post, if no one responded to the first it's possible that it was simply overlooked. PM that member if you really want to remind someone of an overlooked post.
2. No sexual harassment or overly vulgar references! Keep it PG-13! We need to be mindful of some younger members.
3. Please keep profanity at a minimum and PG-13 rated!
4. No slander: please be respectful of one another. This is very important. This is not the place to tarnish the name of another individual.
5. No character limit! You may have as many accounts as you feel you can handle. However, please keep characters reasonably active, or we might have to discuss reducing your character count. This is on a case-by-case basis. Please do not abuse!
6. Please do not abuse any privileges!
7. No excessive drug or alcohol references! I don't mind if you elude to an alcoholic beverage or any mild references so long as it is not in excess.
8. Please restrict banner size to a maximum of 600X400.
9. No abuse of power! :if you are promoted to a staff position, you may never, under any circumstance assert that power over someone simply for the sake of doing it. Always inflict your punishments legitimately and never at the cause of personal dislike/disagreements. My staff are people I trust and I expect no one to take that trust for granted. If you feel you are being unjustly put down by a staff member, do not hesitate to PM me immediately. I am always willing to listen!
10. There is NO word limit! However, please supply thoughtful enough posts in order to make it easier for others to respond.
(RP Rules)
All of the above apply including:
1. You are restricted to the number of characters you will be able to handle. Please use your best judgment here. I don't want to have to enforce a limit.
2. Inform me of any complex story lines you have planned.
3. You must have a RP character to post in the RP area.
4. If you sign-up for a canon character, please attempt to be somewhat active. If you don't intend to be, leave that character for someone else.
6. I don't want anyone killing off other characters! Anything else goes and they can certainly have near-death experiences provided it is part of a story line. Same thing goes with those characters in possession of compulsion power or any other supernatural ability. Do not abuse unless approved by me and whoever you are involving!
7. If a thread is designated only for specific characters, please do not post unless invited or granted permission to do so.
8. Please take the time to fill out the background profile for each character. This is required for OC's!
9. You must use 3rd person point of view when posting. (ex. Stefan ran through the forest, starving and on the prowl for his next victim.)
10. Canon portrayals are left to your interpretation, but please try and keep them in-character.
11. Don't control other people's characters. This means no god-modding.
