Tatia
Bella stood in the center of the marketplace, hazy figures passing her as she blankly stared ahead. For a second, a sweet scent drifted towards her and she abruptly turned, her chest tightening painfully with hope, but her gaze was only met by the same bustling marketplace. That familiar figure was no where in sight. She scoffed. Of course it wasn't. He wasn't here. She hasn't seen him for years and it was silly to believe that he would suddenly appear now. It was all in her head.
Still...in her head was the only place she could see him anymore. That and the few pictures she had of him. Why didn't she think to take more pictures? It's not like he was camera shy. Not like her. His face was practically made for the camera in comparison. Actually, even if she was prettier, he would still be closer to perfect. He was perfect.
She closed her eyes and let her mind drift away with memories of him. She imagined his velvety voice, consuming her and creating a distance at the same time. His beautiful green eyes...eyes that seemed to look inside of her and find every piece that was broken so he could glue it back together. Only difference was she was broken again and...he wasn't there to fix it. She was beyond repair. The only time she was ever happy was in her dreams.
Apparently, her behavior was concerning Charlie. For the first few years, he mostly left her alone. He would give her these concerned looks all the time, but he kept his distance. Maybe he thought it was better to stay away. Maybe he was right. Recently, though, he started trying to get more involved. She understood why, but...he didn't have to be so worried. There was nothing anyone could do for her anyway. He wouldn't let up, though, so here she was. She was gonna try to have fun with some friends. Hanging out with people did help take her mind off things, but that didn't make her better at interacting with people. She still didn't like it too much either.
