Greatest Strength: Compassion, intelligence, patience, forgiveness, acceptance, and my ability to remain calm under pressure.Greatest Weakness: My desire for peace occasionally takes precedence over my moral judgment. I am more accepting than I should be at times, in my attempt to keep from upsetting the balance, and even if I do disagree with something, I often won't speak out because I believe everyone is entitled to their own methods and to find their own way.
Greatest Source of Annoyance: Utter disregard for human life. There is a part of all of us that is still human, and we should not allow the gift of immortality that we've been granted to cloud our judgment or make us blind to this fact. Another that isn't so much an annoyance as something I find upsetting is when I hear Edward insist that we are damned by our very nature. This is something that I simply cannot accept.
Most Admirable Trait in Others: Perseverance. Even if a person fails to succeed at whatever they have set their minds to, the very effort they put forth and willingness to strive for it is admirable. That level of dedication, even without victory, is more admirable to me than someone who claims victory a thousand times with seemingly little effort, without even the need to try.
Habits: Collecting art, reading, studying and practicing medicine, studying anything and accumulating my knowledge of a broad range of subjects, having philosophical conversations, and things I used to enjoy that are now rather difficult to come by would be driving fast in my black Mercedes S55 AMG, and playing baseball with my family.
Ambitions: To keep my family safe, to ensure the safety of the surviving humans in this world, and to help and protect as many people as I can when the Volturi finally make their move against the Original family. Also, to be reunited with Esme when this is all over. For now, the farther she is from all of us, the safer she is.
Fears: The loss of any member of my family, that I might lead them astray, and that I should bring any harm to another, whether because my hand is forced or loss of control. Also, that this tension between the underground society the Volturi have established and the city above will lead to a bloodbath.
Secrets: Loneliness initially drove me to turn the members of my family, and I have often questioned my own motives behind this act, and if it's even possible to justify them, especially as I've observed the unhappiness and the struggles that each one of them has faced, and whether or not it was selfish on my part to subject them to such a painful existence. None of them has ever blamed me for it, but I cannot help but blame myself at times. Though I am confident there must be a heaven for us—it is something I have never once questioned—should I be proven wrong in my opinion, I have damned the souls of the people I care about most, and I can only ask that the punishment be exacted on me and not them. Nonetheless, I cannot imagine a God who would ever damn someone, anyone, merely for their nature. That defies everything I have ever believed.
Interesting Facts/Quirks: I have only fed on a human once in the course of my existence, at my initial transformation, and it was force-fed to me by the vampire who sired me in the streets of England. Since then, I have maintained a strict animal diet, upon discovering that this was a viable substitute for the blood cravings. I am not sure I have any quirks, though. Talking softly, perhaps? My curiosity?
